Travel Harold like to enjoy trips  [9
    • One time, he was determined that their trip to California to see relatives would be a long quiet drive, so he rigged the engine so that the horn would blow and the hood would open whenever a certain very low speed was exceeded. Lily was getting quite bored with the slowness of things, so when Harold let her drive so he could nap, she sped up only to be found out and scared out of her wits! He did most of the driving on that trip from that point onward!

    Married 13 Sep 1942  [14
    • Lily was good friends with Harold's first wife, and when she had an "affair" with Harold, it became very difficult for her parents to endure, mostly because of the critical attacks their church made on them. Because of the church's action against her and her parents in kicking them out, she did not attend church for many years (nor did her parents). Lily still remained "Christian" and loved to tell young relatives about the Scriptures. Nelda Erhardt Griffiths learned more from her about the Bible than she ever learned in Sunday School!

Harold was 37 and Lily 34 when they married.

Harold's son died just after Harold and Lily were living together.
